Double-crested Cormorants
Apr. 10th, 2009 10:15 amMarch 20th, 2009, Antonio and I wandered around the area where the 104th Trail originates from. Instead of following the concrete path beneath the 104th bridge/overpass, we turned left onto the unruly gravel path that reaches into a prairie dog town, fields, a forest, and down to the South Platte River.
That day the lake was teeming with double-crested cormorants. They filled the air mostly in pairs.
