The first two are a zebra, followed by female Dall's Sheep (three white ones) and female Bighorn Sheep (the two brown ones). Then adult Water Buffalo followed by two of the calf scratching an itch. Ending with a lovely, spindly male Gerenuk.

These were taken with dad's camera, and thus low quality. However, the experience was wondrous! Two ravens and six crows pestered the poor fellow. It was the first time I've ever had ravens in the yard!

Ah, the undeniable magic of Beltane.
May. 7th, 2010 02:42 pmEvery local weather report had prematurely dismissed May 1st, all agreeing it would be cool and dreary.
Blissfully, it was far from either. >:-)
The boys and I attended the open house at The Birds Of Prey Foundation's flight cages and rehab site. The weather was outstanding, the facility top notch, the people were friendly and knowledgeable, and it was an amazing day/night.
Before the pictures from BOP, here's one that Jay took of Athena after taking the courtyard photos:
