Ooh la la!
May. 17th, 2011 07:55 pmJust came across some excellent Goldfrapp videos on youtube. I've listened to her since 2000, when her debut album Felt Mountain was released. Strangely, I never thought to search for her music videos...
Until now. And WOW. Her humor is dry and bizarre. I love it! The following are my favorites, in order:
After swooning over these, I visited both Alison Goldfrapp's wiki site and her own page. Again, wow. She's with another woman! This shouldn't surprise me, as she gave a wonderful music performance on the lesbian show The L Word a few years back. Still, I didn't want to assume anything. Don't know why the knowledge makes me so giddy, yet it does. As does her list of influences, including: Kate Bush, David Bowie, The Wicker Man (the original '73 version, of course), animism, animals, and mythology.
Oh, yeah, I've got it bad. But it feels so good. >;-)~
