ferinePeople's penchant for incivility, for outright acts of or threats of violence, as though it's a sign of being a true patriot, a free American -- fuckin'-A. 1/4 (24%) of Republicans, according to new Harris Poll results (cited here, here, here, and roughly 107 other places); what is wrong with the modern Republican Party, and why do the old school traditional Republicans allow the nutjob neocons, Teabaggers, religious extremists, and violence-inciters to speak for them--to run the Party?

Any party that places gun rights above caring for others very lives (I.E., healthcare), or thinks giving a damn about the environment and our impact on it is "crazy talk" or pointless, is misguided at best. Immoral at worst. Is the notion of individual liberty worth turning up ones nose at any suffering or damage done in pursuit of such selfish desire? It seems the Teabaggers, Republicans, and others have somehow forgotten something important: we are free. This is freedom. Freedom of speech allows all this crap to go on, like calling an active President a "Marxist", a "Nazi", or questioning his birth certificate's validity, even during war time. No one has come after anyones guns. No one is attacking anyone or inciting violence other than the Right Wingnuts, which now includes the Republican Party.
