MechaChair hath arrived!
Feb. 11th, 2011 02:14 pmShe came Wednesday, actually, thus I've been learning how to drive since.
It's a bit of a challenge when, say, pulling up to the computer. I've managed to knock over the majority of knickknacks on the shelves of the computer table from running abruptly into the base. D'oh!
I'm still practicing and improving. This is really cool, actually. The chair can move to be vertical, or in a lounge-chair position. It's nice to not always be stuck in a static position. While I'm still getting the hang of it, I have the speed on low--which actually is plenty fast. The top speed is 6 mph. It can go 20 miles on one battery charge!
This chariot weighs 300 pounds, so watch you feet when I'm in motion. >;-)
