Our first, and last, visit to what I call "the owl bridge", the underside of a stretch of 120th, bore signs of owl activity--whitewash on the concrete rafters, feathers and fluff, and a headless mouse. This time we found more whitewash and a few owl feathers:

So, as we progress under the owl bridge, we suddenly encounter a wide swathe of carnage. Very fresh carnage. After scouring the area, we determined a coyote must have been in the middle of moving his cache into the nearby brush. We must've missed him by a hair. He was undoubtedly watching us from the grasses somewhere.

Amusingly, at the start of the strewn bits and bodies, was a crushed Red Bull can. Perhaps the coyote got hopped up on Red Bull before his killing spree *grins*. Below the can, a magpie wing. Then ducks and duck feathers. Finally blood on twigs at the height of a coyote's muzzle:
