Meeka: October 1996 ~ October 2nd, 2007

After many, many pokes, during which Meeka's feeble cries rended my heart, the vet and intern decided to take her back to Gentle Pet Care where they could insert a catheter into her neck and then give her gas.

Her belly, so bloated, was filled with most of her blood; thus they were unable to strike a vein in her legs, even with the tiniest needle.

I'll get her ashes within a few weeks, probably.

I don't think we've cried so heavily as a family in years.

Now, to heal now that Meeka's at peace.
