The line between what is commonly accepted behavior and what is rude and hostile behavior is more blurred than ever before. Manners and politeness are largely regarded as antiquated ideas, and it’s "hip", if not encouraged, to be selfish and aggressive. Meanness and a penchant for drama is rewarded with attention, related to the twisted lust to witness the self-destruction of a human being.
In the midst of so much suffering, on a planet quaking in rage, weather in a state of flux, surrounded by man’s inhumanity to man, beast, and environment, met by policy makers who turn a deaf ear to those they supposedly serve and represent; it is understandable to feel ineffectual, helpless to make a difference, mute and emasculated.
Despite the despair fettering the ankle in lead, or in spite of it, keep moving. Don't stop dreaming, thinking, shaping positivity around you. Great change, any change, begins with the individual, like a whisper of a ripple in a lake. We start by cultivating our own sacred spaces. Radiate that sacred space wherever you go, whatever you do. Thoughts, dreams, words, and will have greater power than most are willing to admit.
Positive change doesn't show results immediately. Sometimes such effort doesn't yield results for generations. Every little starry thought, every golden dream, every healing wish, every kind word, pushes outward and whispers ripples into being. The ripples add force to other ripples, and eventually a wave takes form. A small wave becomes a tidal wave, and land masses change.
We're all responsible for the smallest change. Even a powerful thought is meaningful, and not ineffectual. Patience is the key, and a wise, gentle power. Mountains will move, given time. Now the effort must be made, no matter how small it may seem to us or in the eyes of others.
