Twin Souls

Lynx is cat and wolf in spirit. A bridge of feline to lupine. I am joined with the heart of Lynx. I honor and love lynxes, in respect and awe, as I do with wolves, ravens, bears, other felids, owls, whales, dogs, horses, snakes, and more.
Lynx is a soul, an Other, and yet within me at the same time. Me and not me, above and inside. This once confused me. I sought for a concrete explanation of what I was, and why.
I realized after many years that this was a pointless search, akin to asking "why do I exist?" It doesn't matter, because we *are* here. Accept it, and *do*, instead of stifling faith and snuffing wonder by finding ways to distrust oneself.
