Mourning Tara from BtVS.
May. 20th, 2002 02:55 pmThe following poem, by "tarasflame" <lilsusue@sbcglobal.net>, is a touching memorial to one of my favorite Buffy characters:
Underneath The Willow Tree
Underneath the Willow tree
You spoke to me
Of our love and it's majesty
Of how love could be
Underneath the blanket of stars
You shed for me
The tears that held so close to me
The tears that showed me how to be
But how could be this be?
You're no longer here with me
Beneath the towering Willow tree
Beneath the stars I no longer see
But beneath the towering Willow tree
I hear your voice in the quiet breeze
Telling me how it feels to be free
Finally to fly, finally to be free
I can no longer see the towering Willow tree
I can no longer see the tears in the sky that you shed for me
But I know that you are talking to me
In the quiet breeze, underneath the Willow tree
Underneath The Willow Tree
Underneath the Willow tree
You spoke to me
Of our love and it's majesty
Of how love could be
Underneath the blanket of stars
You shed for me
The tears that held so close to me
The tears that showed me how to be
But how could be this be?
You're no longer here with me
Beneath the towering Willow tree
Beneath the stars I no longer see
But beneath the towering Willow tree
I hear your voice in the quiet breeze
Telling me how it feels to be free
Finally to fly, finally to be free
I can no longer see the towering Willow tree
I can no longer see the tears in the sky that you shed for me
But I know that you are talking to me
In the quiet breeze, underneath the Willow tree
