About me: I've had the degenerative neuromuscular disorder known as Friedreich's Ataxia (FA is included under the broad collection of neuromuscular diseases related to Muscular Dystrophy, and care and research for FA is covered by the Muscular Dystrophy Association) for probably my whole life, though it didn't hinder my mobility until I was 14. At 16, I began to use a wheelchair. At 26, I was diagnosed with Diabetes Type 1 (also known as Juvenile Diabetes).

I realized I was gay at 16, but played it safe by coming out as bi at 18. At 21, though, I knew bisexual didn't cut it, and embraced my lesbianism.

Politically I'm far too liberal to be considered a Democrat. Dems, Libertarians, and Republicans are all corrupt parties that care little for the environment, helping people, and bettering the world. I'm a defiantly Independent liberal who stays informed, and--*gasp!*--I vote! I want a government and a President that helps those in need, that nurtures and protects the land, that reaches out and listens, and that follows through with her or his good intentions.
